Photography. Art Direction. Movement Direction.
Sam Spence is a Korean-American fashion and fine art photographer based in Los Angeles. In 2021 she became the second youngest in history to have her images grace the cover of Vogue. Adopted from Korea as a baby, and raised in the Midwestern United States, Spence has always known the meaning of standing out. Frustrated by the lack of diversity and acceptance around her, Spence turned to the arts at a young age as her main form of expression. Her background as a contemporary dancer has influenced her love for capturing movement and the human body in its unique form. This, coupled with her vision of pushing beauty and fashion boundaries, has brought her to the artistry she harnesses today.
